Henri Colin is honored and receives a scholarship!
On May 25, 2023, Les Extras was held, a CSSDM ceremony which highlights inspiring student journeys, marked by academic perseverance and the desire to succeed: exceptional graduates!
Henri Colin arrived at Père-Marquette school at the age of ten since he completed his primary school in an accelerated manner. For most students, the transition to secondary school requires some adjustment. For Henri, this was not without turmoil. Even though he had the intellectual capacity to complete his school work, he could not quite feel at home since he was moving from a small to a large environment and was now living with older teenagers. from 12 to 18 years old. His interests were not necessarily the same as his classmates. Due to his great passion for hockey, his feeling of belonging to the Père-Maquette school developed and he was able to forge links with the players on his team, his coach and his speakers.
During these first two years of secondary school, Henri needed close and constant support. He has experienced great successes while still facing significant challenges. Over time, he was able to adapt to his environment, integrate into the regular class and develop his autonomy. This year, he will obtain his secondary 5 diploma from Père-Marquette school.
This persevering young man, aged 15, is preparing to continue his studies in Sherbrooke at Bishop College School since he was recruited by the division 1 hockey team of this school. In addition to perfecting his English, he will be able to continue to learn about himself in order to target the field in which he would eventually like to work. He still has a lot of time ahead of him.
Henri will have touched many hearts during his visit to Père-Marquette!
